Monday

Another Monday spent sitting on my kister at my computer. Alas all of it was not doing class work, but trying to find decorations for my daughters wedding next May.

Harry Potter

I know that Harry Potter is controversial with some people but my daughters just love the books and movies while my husband and I love to watch the movies. Both girls got copies of the last book to read. I usually listen to their description of the parts they are reading and get the book information from them. I am really wondering what will happen so I am pestering them to keep reading but they both said they hate to finish it so they are taking their good old time. I may have to sneak a peek at the end to find out myself but then I would never be able to keep it to myself if there was something shocking to find out. Oh well, I guess I will just have to wait.

Only two weeks left

I can not believe that there are only 2 weeks left in this session. I hope to finish up this week with most of my work except the last book discussion.

Is it Sunday?

Will in class last week, I forgot to get my blogs written so I am going to right them now. I had a very good time meeting everyone in class last week. It was nice to put names to faces. See everyone in October.

Second Life

As I just entered into the Second Life world, I found it very interesting. If I were many years younger I could see me spending a lot of time in this world just looking around. I like the way it has its own little reality thing going on and that it actually has a place were you can really buy things. I was surprised at how hard it was to come up with a name that was available. I had to try several times and I thought I was using unusual names to start with. It was also funny to pick a figure that you wanted to look like. It was also neat the way you could buy land and set up your own little place. I can see where younger kids would really like this site because it would give them the chance to be grown up and experience grown up situations. With that said, I probably will never go back to Second Life just because at my age and schedule, it is too much of good time wasted. I hate to seem like a party pooper to a really neat concept, but I just am not interested in playing in the virtual land when my reality land is so chaotic at times. That may sound like an oxy moran too want to stay in a reality that is busy, draining at times and just plain hard to one that is the way you create it to be and that you can leave at any time.

Feeling the crunch!

Only one more day left before leaving for the big city. I am not a city driver but I hate to see someone take me then have to pick me up. That is four different trips to what my two would be if I just drive it. I know it will be alright in the end and I will have a good time while getting caught up on back logged work, but I always create anxiety for my self when I have to go anywhere like this trip. Well I will write how things are going next week and I only hope it will be that I am having a wonderful time in the BIG city.

3 days till on campus time

I can not believe this is Wednesday already! Time is flying to fast and I have a tremendous amount of work to do until I leave for the on-campus trip. As I write this entry, it is raining very hard. We did need rain because everything was dry but I hope it does not turn into a large storm. Got to get back to work.

Blackboard Academic Suite

As I post this note, I am wondering why I cannot get the title box to empty. I put a title to my blog but today I can not get my mouse to do anything in the box. Oh well, must be another glitch. Just getting ready for a ton of things that need to be done for the week. I want to get my personal stuff out of the way so I can get my school work worked on and then get ready to travel twice this week. THis week and next week are just going to fly by. I do not even want to think of August. My husband just remined me that he is on vacation next week. Ha! I am going to be in Pittsburgh. Well that is just my life.

First week in July

Well, we have our first week in July in and can anyone believe the rate that summer is passing us by. Before long it will be back to school for students and teachers and the start of that almighty sport of sports, football. Let's just try to slow things down a little and enjoy what is left of our summer.

Great 4TH!!

My family and I had a great holiday. It was only for a day but we spent it at our cabin. It was peaceful and very nice. Hope everyone had a great 4th and is just eager to get back to work.

Problems starting on Sundays

There seems to be technology problems starting on Sundays. I tried to get into a chat, but like many others could not get in. I hope this is not a sign of things to come.

Today I am going to search the wide open spaces for help and will do my best to get caught up in the 26oo class.

Professionalism?!

I have never taken a class where you feel like you are on an island and no one cares. I ahve taken on line class before and realize they are harder because you do not have that one on one tutoring if needed. But to not respond to questions or not get help from those being paid to teach is simply unexcusable and not very professional from those that I am sure call themselves that.

Weekend!

Hooray it is weekend time!!! I have a chance to go to Niagara Falls and I am so excited. We are packed and ready. Talk to everybody on Monday.

More rain today

We had a beautiful morning here in South Western PA. But this afternoon it started to cloud up and I think we may have rain again. At least the rain comes and goes. To get my mind working in another direction than not knowing why I can not seem to get computer problems right, I started to clean more flower beds that I have. They do look nice even if the work is as far behind as my one class work is. Well tomorrow is another day.

Good morning/afternoon

It is just after 12:00 noon. Depending who you are, it could be a good morning or a good afternoon. I have been up for awhile now so it is defiantly afternoon for me. I hope I am getting caught up on learning this computer stuff. This is really not my thing but I do need to learn it. I can not wait for this weekend. My family is going to Niagara Falls. I have never been there and it is only because my daughter's fiancee' is working up there for three weeks that we are going now. So, in the mean time I better keep working!

Why Can't I sleep!

I woke up at 3:20 this morning. As I lay there in bed, I started to think about things and as I did, I thought myself to a wide awake state. My oldest daughters upcoming wedding, this class, middle of the month bills that need to be made that I forgot about, and so on and so on. Now I am sitting at this computer posting blogs because I did not do it this week right when I thought about it and then the thought passed through and was gone. I think I will do some more tagging that needs done and I will go from there. If I am still up later on, I better start on mornings breakfast. Well, good morning and I will post later.

My week just flew by. I almost forgot to get my second and third posting down. My week was filled with finding out how to do new things. Even if I don't understand where I will use all of this information, it is always good to learn something that I might recall in the future.

Here we are, another Monday. Having a fun virus this weekend kind of played haveck with any Anniversary plans my husband and I had. Oh well that is life. Here is hoping to a brighter week ahead.

Another week

Here it is, the first week of June almost over. It is hard to believe that we are actucally into the month this far. Today is Friday, June 8th, and it is a very sunny, hot and beautiful day. I am hoping to get all kinds of work done in several areas. Hope everyone enjoys the weekend.

Middle of the week

We are in the middle of another week. Our town Block Party is this week. Good food, fun rides and games. Tomorrow night is the big parade. I have to get my assignments worked on while doing a ton of other commitments. I need to slow down the hours of the days.

Just another Manic Monday

Just starting another Monday. It is rainy and cloudy but southern PA can not complain because we needed a good rain. I am hoping to start this week out and finish EVERYTHING that I need to do. It will be a first but a goal I am setting. Good luck to all this week!

Rain, rain

Rain has been pouring all around our area but, it is not getting wet here in my town. We need the rain and I hope we get some. I am sure that the other's that are getting down pours would like to send us some. The start of summer is very good. Hot, mostly dry weather, with the rest of June looking like it should be just as enjoyable.

Another week in!

This is another week almost done. Can I say that I know what I am doing? NOOOOOOOOO! But High School is now over and I am planning on spending the rest of my summer figuring this stuff out.
